What about The Signature at MGM? One thing you are missing about hotel rooms for families is that we need a bigger room and its’ expensive to get a suite at a lot of these hotels. A family of 5 has a big expensive in a hotel room. Would be nice to find good family hotels that have a good family room setup.
Tahiti Village has a 2 Bedroom Suite with 2 King Size Beds, a sleeper sofa and a full-sized, fully equipped kitchen. They also have a 1 Bedroom Suite with 1 King Size Bed, a sleeper sofa and a fully equipped kitchen. Another all suite hotel that can accommodate large families is The Wyndham Grand Desert, which is a very short drive down the street from the Signature at MGM Grand. Wyndham Grand Desert has a two Bedroom Suite that sleeps six to eight guests and has a full kitchen, a living area and a washer/dryer. Also, the Grand Desert is only a 15 minute walk to and from the strip, so you can save money by not having to pay for parking on the strip. As for The Signature at MGM, I wouldn’t recommend it for a family or those looking to save some money. The hotel and the rooms are very nice, but the Signature has its drawbacks like valet parking, long walks into the MGM, nothing all that fun for a family. Most of its dining, entertainment and amenities are not geared towards the family and are not actually in The Signature.
Looking for a kid friendly resort to host a family reunion in September 2019. Gambling onsite.
I think the South Point Hotel or the Orleans Hotel would be a good place to host a family reunion. They both have large bowling alleys, arcades, movie theaters, great swimming pools and plenty of gambling in the casino’s.
I plan to bring my family to Disneyland for 2 nights in Aug, then get a rental car and drive to Las Vegas for 2 nights, is this a good month? What is your TOP pick hotel in LAS VEGAS to recommend for a family of 3. our daughter is 9yrs. Would you recommend a rental car for this?
What would be your best attractions to recommend?
Something i need to consider; – the hotel has to be free smoking. My wife gets really affected by smoke.
Other than the high temperatures of August in Las Vegas, it is a nice time to visit. Our top pick for a smoke free hotel would be the Tahiti Village Resort. It doesn’t have a casino and is not on the Strip. On the plus side you do get a family friendly room that is like a small apartment and it has some of the best family friendly pools in Las Vegas. A rental car will help you stay out of the heat and get you around town, so I do recommend one.
As far as attractions, sights, activities and tours, see our Family Things to Do in Las Vegas article to fill up your itinerary.
What are your thoughts on the Sam’s Town Resort for a family reunion with a wide range of ages and interests? We compared Sam’s to Orleans and chose Sam’s since they have a bingo hall for the older ladies and the same amenities (bowling, movie theater, mystic park, spa) as the others. Decent prices too, so I’m curious to hear what your thoughts or experience has been with them. Thanks for your informative article, can’t wait to check out the family-friendly places you’ve talked about!
If you are looking for a resort with all of those amenities for the wide range of ages, we would suggest looking at the South Point Hotel. The hotel has a huge bingo hall that runs from 11am through 1am and it has all of the other fun activities for the whole family as well – bowling, movie theater, arcade, family pool, etc. We also like the hotel’s location as it is close to the outlets, the Las Vegas Strip and restaurants. All three would be good choices for a family reunion.
